Does alcoholisam and drug addictions deserve a free pass?

In this world there is so many things you can go to jail for: stealing, rape, forgery,  endangering an animal and so on. But what about endangering the livlihood…future sanity, ability to love or feel safe that is snatched away from women and teens each day. After all we sue drug companies, doctors, and insurance companies for possible future damage. Why isn’t there a law that says if you will- fully cripple or hinder a child physically or mentally you must pay. The man, my cousin who molested me at the age of five, detroyed my chance to ever carry a child. And years later when I returned to him a mental mess he finished the task….does anyone ever pay besides the victum.

Sandusky….what the Coach did you say……

I am not a sophisticate; I don’t claim to know anything more than most: what I am however is a women who has seen, and lived through the devastating affects of child abuse….so in that regard, I my friend am an expert!

Child abuse is a deadly dormant parasite which lingers in the far participles of the abused inner most recess; both mentally and physically. It masks itself behind well-organized wardrobes and hairdos; polished speeches and success. What it doesn’t and won’t find a way to do however, is eradicate the shame, hurt and dysfunction the abused is saddled with: without America first taking a look at it self and what we as a nation have become too value. Hog- wash, I say to all of you who dare to act surprised at the rate of teen pregnancy, drop out, drugs and suicide….you yes You the public and Government has sacrificed our youth for years. I imagine it’s because we have become so mundane and disconnected from life and it’s personal interaction, that unless there is blood,  gore, or fame involved it really doesn’t touch our conscious. I can tell you first hand most Americans that have suffered the shattering effects of abuse are merely time bombs waiting too happen. Unless given the proper forum and coping mechanisms needed to remove a blemish that festers so deep it has become a major catalyst, ending marriages, spiritual beliefs, sexuality and lives….. WHAT SAY YOU?

Saving a dying country

Our educators are still using a stone aged system that was noticeably designed to create employees not employers; they are taking the heat for the drop out rate, lack of interest and attendance.  This is 2011 a time when pages of a book can now turn themself; spoken word can be printed on a screen right before our eye’s. And a three-year old can operate a computer. It’s time to rethink and redesign our educational system..our needs are no longer Industrial but International: We should be expounding on IT/Tech, Science, Math, Commercial etc. Things that promote creativity..not beating to death a history of hate, filled with half-truths. It’s no loner harming the few it is destroying the masses.

“What do you think?

Today my friend (who has been looking for a job almost a year) went in for his orientaion..he finally got that call that says we need you,you can start tomorrow. Only when he got there the guy who hired him had been fired the very day he made the call. Imagine both their surprise. He without a future; and He who thought he had a future to give.

Okay, so you have nothing to say!

You know no one who has been affected, held down or back, by welfare?

Well I’ll start! Single mother of 4, works 2 p/t jobs to make ends meet, she receives Stamps/Section 8: receives a f/t offer with $1.50 raise plus future promotion opportunities: Ecstatic she tells her case worker of her good news. The case worker quickly doing her math says: “congratulations, but we will have to cancel your benefits of course, .” The young girl now crushed decides she must turn down the mere $75.00 a month raise so she may keep her $700.00 stipend or her family will not survive:

”What ya think should the System have room for recipients to improve before tossing them out?

It’s my contention that Welfare was created without an exit plan….any comments?

Health Care

I’ve watched, supported and still believe in President Obama. I think that we as americans should just take a few seconds to try and understand…Politics. The red tape, hidden agendas and a history filled with secrets that only a president are privey too. These things alone are more than enough reason for anyone to take pause, redirect and modify energies. I for one couldn’t be any madder about not having a public option than the gays-catholics-capitalist-unemployed - under paid- under educated; and the  indebted educated are about their issue’s. But I understand that just as it is with any job you will have those that want you to fail and visa versa. I say lets trust the man we hired; he hasn’t forgot what he went to Washington for. And please, please tell anyone you know who may not understand how important getting health care to pass is; not to be fooled by the negative spin in the media-we need a public option. I think Subway restaurants makes a great example: By offering the five dollar foot long they literally forced other restaurants which wanted to maintain a customer base to also find an affordable meal alternative for their customers. That’s the public option in a nut shell. It would be there to make sure insurers offer a fair product at a good price. Don’t be a fair weather friend, trust the man who can get this thing right. There are one hundred and one things he can’t tell you or anyone else that directly affect everything he does. That’s 200 years of corruption and secret’s that many have spent their lives protecting..
